I eat a disproportionate amount of Indian and Vietnamese food. Clearly I'm not enough enough to off-set these numbers.
Huh. You wouldn't know it with all of the Italian places around...
Why is "traditional American" disproportional with Wisconsin?
Because it's all cheese and mayo.
What exactly is "Traditional American" anyway? Hamburgers?
Steak, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Potato Salad, Apple Pie...
But then why is "steak" classified in the northern states? Not trying to be an ass about it, just curious.
Right, but isn't Wisconsin already full of traditional Americans? What's disproportional about eating that way?
And what is "Mideastern" cuisines?
I suspect the categories aren't meant to be exclusive. There's a fair bit of overlap.
Mideastern is likely Persian (Iraqi, Iranian, Turkish, Afghan), but could extend to some Greek, Indian and Pakistani.
OOOHHH! Okay, that Mideastern. I thought it was like, Mideastern US. ><
Also, I have no idea how MA is over-represented in Portugese. Most of what's there is also tons of Italian.
WV is hot dog. I don't know what to make of that. Probably something offensive, though.
Virginia may be for lovers, but West Virginia is the place to be if you like wieners.
How is "foodstands" a cuisine?
It's a method of delivery of a variety of food types.
Might as well just say "car" for that state with the pizza in it.
Which is apparently Indiana.
to be fair, having been to portland recently, i don't think there are any places you can buy food that have actual indoor seating
also, I would say that there is a very distinct type of food that gets served from food stands/trucks, regardless of the "type" of food that a given truck serves
doesn't really matter all ... DC is the best ...
I think you might be biased!

Wtf is a gastropub?? /sigh I feel very uncultured. >.>
a gastropub is a bar that serves fork-and-knife food instead of burgers and wings.
So... the Emigrant was a hips
Yes. I guess you could say you were a hipster before it was cool?
Whoa. Hipster-squared? Meta-hipster??
Gastropubs are an attempt at doing gourmet pub food. Lots of micro-brews, high-quality ingredients for all of the menu items, etc.
Bring on the skinny jeans!
