Late in the game with this for the shop but I'm looking at Kickstarter and considering making one.

When I first started, I never thought it would stick as an actual interest and I definitely didn't think I'd actually be able to do any of it.

So it wasn't a big deal that I couldn't afford a huge assortment of colors and sizes and everything else.

It has though and I want to expand some of the things I offer but haven't got the money to do so. I don't sell enough to try. So this is possibly an option and I wouldn't mind opinions on it.

If I'm not mistake though, kickstarter returns all donations if one doesn't make it's goal.

I would set the goal a bit higher probably though, to cover all that plus the shipping costs and the cost for listings on etsy as well as dealing with any possibility that the tools won't be prepared right.

Ardruna: Yep, basically. Materials and shipping and tools because mine aren't smoothed. They don't have teeth but they scrape all the same and it drives me nuts.

It's the cost of niobium that leaves me hesitant because it is an expensive metal but really good quality and the colors are stunning.
