Not an appealing job you ended up with?
It's front desk at a hotel during the slow season. I'm wondering if I can bring a book? Lol.
If they don't allow phones, I worry that they just want you to never, ever appear distracted.
Yeah, that's gonna happen especially at night audit. I'll talk to one of the other people when I'm trained up about what they do to stay busy.
I might take up art again? I have a friend who wants me to make an rp scenariou.
Yeah, I'm one of those who actually learned a bit much about the 1880's in the US. So, since I know that and the idea of what they used for the budding tech, I started coming out with steampunk stuff.
Ahhh.
I am unfortunately horrible when it comes to dice rolling so we're finding a way to make this work without D20's. Classy can't math.
Like, keeping up with numbers, keeping up with stats full of them. Idk if it's because I switch numbers in my head and count a little off without something in my hand (i.e. counting out change) or what...
Does keeping numbers low help at all?
I'd figure that trying to keep numbers from changing frequently would be a good idea either way.
Sometimes? I'm starting to think I have dyscalculia or something. It took me three different tries to pass College Algebra and so on.
Because I'd switch numbers or whatnot. So, I'm a horrible DM in that regard, but I make awesome scenarious?
*SCENARIOS! Dang it phone!
Not sure how to help there. Even diceless stuff like Amber and Nobilis invlove some numbers.
Yeah, I'm figuring out how to make it work. It'll be interesting.
I have a friend making a failed attempt at Steampunk in the US in the 1850's. The factories and industrial tech wasn't what it could have been if she started later on it.
Then there's stuff like FATE's adjective ladder, but frankly that's just numbers represented as words anyway.
Hey, I have a feeling it'll be a small amount just so we can keep stats. I do know that's easier to keep track of.
Like not rolling to strike but for stat updates and health bar...I'll figure it out. <3 I'll see how this goes. I love telling stories, but the dice aspect and the slow pace throws me off.
I have time, that's for sure.
Do you have any ideas? I'm just trying to see if there's a system out there that'd be all right for this.
As far as existing systems that'd work as-is, not off the top of my head...
Okay, I'll see what I can do. Thank you for all the replies, though?
No problem!
When I am rich I shall hire you to RP with me all day.
Am I seriously that good at story telling? Because I probably should write scripts...Supernatural could improve. Not to mention me learning Enochian would make it ten times cool.
...but that's if I seriously write storylines that good. I doubt it most of the time.
You like emotionally torturing muses - you'd be perfect on SPN.
Hey, plot revolves around struggle. If there was no struggle, there would be no plot. Just fluffy bunnies.
