went to Walmart to look at "Day Planners"... they don't have them in the store.. so bleh. But while I was there, I found a 3-DVD pack of all three Godfather movies for like $12.96.

Nah I was more honestly looking for a pad of paper. Kind of hard to explain. I need a notebook I can carry around in my backpack that won't get destroyed by being in my backpack... but still has tear-out pages.

Someone suggested I should try one of those olld-school "day planner" binders, the little ones with the calender pages and todo lists and whatnot.. but just fill it with miniature binder paper.

Unfortunately, the cost factor of getting something like that set up is kind of prohibitive, and DIYing it isn't a great solution either.

Right now I've got a fancy little semi-hardback book with an elastic strap.. which is cool, but the pages aren't tear-out.. which makes it a hassle, since I mostly use it for things like shopping lists...

reminders and things like "look up the price of ____ thing I found in a store"

What I'm toting right now (different brand).. the hassle tho is just all the pointless months old shopping lists I have to thumb through to try and find my most recent notes.

and god forbid I wanna write my email address down for someone.. I can't tear the pages out without an exacto knife.

ah, okay :-) I used to carry around one of those lil 5x7 yellow, lined steno pads. I keep paper on my desk still, but use my phone device for notes and stuff while I'm out.

yeah, my problem is that 'notepads' aren't surviving the backpack very well.. The irony is that the cost of getting into a day planner now (paying full retail) is comparable to a cheap tablet.
