NYC people! I'm going to be driving from Mass to Ohio in a little over a week and I'll be stopping halfway in PA. HOWEVER, I'll be driving through NYC and I'd really like to see the statue of liberty...
Where would be the best place to see it without having to get on a ferry? I wouldn't mind being on a ferry, but I'll have Henry with me and I don't think they'd appreciate him being there lol.

And there is the most amazing Jewish deli, by the dock
Just stopping in to see one or two things on my way down. I just looked up the pet policy for the Staten Island ferry and they only allow service animals

go to the Empire State Building too, if you can, so you can get a view of NYC's skyline before you go
I so wish I could, I'll have my dog tho and I'd either have to bring him with me, or leave him in the car

Do you know if I'd be able to park somewhere close by? Or would I have to take public transportation to get there?
Personally I recommend the GE Building at Rockerfeller Plaza rather than the Empire State Building because it's less time to queue and you get to see the Empire State Building from the top 
With the 'Top of the Rock' you're allocated a time to go up when you buy your ticket, so no queues. Much more civilised.
