Well I've been working at my job for almost 5 years and I've learned there will probably not be any perks for me if i stay longer no wonderful raise or even vacation
So I should really get a new job!
but i figured since i've been working there for so long I should apply for a manager's position cause they're more likely to give me one
the reason I haven't is because I've kinda already worked some manager shifts and they suck!
they're like 9 hours with no real guarantee that you'll get a lunch or break and if someone calls in and you can't find a replacement you have to stay
Anyway what I wanted to ask is do ya'll think I should go for it even though it'll be drastically harder then my current job though it's mainly babysitting or not?
ALSO the people I've talked to say it's only like $1 raise but I haven't applied yet so I don't know if this will apply to me or not
umm pleaser and thank you for any possible opinions on this
I gave you my thoughts on this
That's legal bullshit too. Texas requires you to have a lunch break
But hmm... I mean it sounds worth it having more solid hours and a slight raise, but its also more stressful. I also think you can probably find something better
But that is difficult when you're in school, too.
I'd say try it but try putting yourself out there in other places. Then go with what's more secure.
thanks for the opinions! And help I'm strongly leaning towards no, though I'm waiting for my mom's opinion too! thanks really!
I feel like I can do the job but I don't think I have the physical and mental endurance to do it over time
Yeah! time for the job hunt for serious this time though!
ugh! That sounds terrible! stats haven't changed in forever though
Just add extra years, college things, and skillsets
