Oh dear. May she rest in peace.
I only heard on the radio that the woman died because she was hit by a train.
The station at my old neighbourhood seems to attract a lot of incidents. Hmmm ...
really? I passed through clementi this morning and nothing exciting happened.
Earlier in the morning I think. Caused a 45 min delay in the west-bound train services.
happened at 6 plus. on the news already
was it suicide or accident?
it wasn't stated, but the body was pinned under the 3rd carriage
Report I read doesn't say. Only know tt she is 71 and was hit and went under the carriage.
Oh, that's really tragic!
my colleague saw it! She was standing abt 1 cabin's length away fm the woman. Poor girl is traumatised by what she saw.
it was quite gory. A few pple vomitted.
Oh my!

I would be traumatised too.
Sounds like an accident. 71 y-o woman... so it sounded like she fell.
my friend said crowds were rushing to get near the entrance and someone accidentally pushed her forward.
That's one reason I never stand too near to the yellow line.
If someone did push her I hope this asswipe live with nightmares for life.
if that's the case, its really a tragic acciden
if tts the case. I hope they report it and have a big drop in such inconsiderate assholes
Also lah. the freaking MRT.. run trains until the stations are packed with people. Can still say beat HK.. beat HK my foooooootttt...
*shakes head*
REMOVE THE F***ING SEATS~~!! Then no more reason for people to rush. Full stop
what?! what happened?! any news reports on this yet?
The odd thing is that the incident happened at 6.15am. Is it that crowded that people have to push and shove at 6.15 in the morning??
it's bloody crowded at ANY TIME

Ooo ... really? It's been a long time since I've taken the train that early. Damn! Someone should really do something about that!
The thing is, I once tried taking a train like 6am in the morning. The Frequency sucks.
Usually abt 6+ it's packed with students going to sch.
for now, the NE line has no crowds. Something like when MRT just started back in the 80s...
I am so amazed that pple on NE line usually dun even bother to sit even if got empty seats
damn... that's tragic. There are just too many flaws with the train stations. I hate those protruding metal stuff - they make certain areas
of the platform narrower. When ppl are waiting around that area, the ppl who pass thru it have to squeeze thru, making it really dangerous.
If the other side of the platform isn't packed, walk on the other side for everyone's safety. Not the best solution, but the only one I have
Then sometimes I feel like anyone can just push me while the train is approaching. They really need to put up doors or barrier.
the other side [amk] serves the middle platform, and that area is barred from entering unless a train is serving. so no choice, there's
only one way to walk thru. Design-wise, an accident waiting to happen. But AMK i think only had one or two. Bishan has more due to
Well, not entirely design wise prob.
ppl who comes up on the escalators will not move too far away from that area and clutters around it.
then the people who comes later have to force through them.
A design problem that becomes acute because of well... THIS COUNTRY.
it gets worse when the other escalator is under maintenance. and when a train is approaching, everyone is rushing.
wait, what supernatural stuff at bishan? Is this an open secret that we're supposed to know abt?
I have already given up. Go on and complain about it because it's part a design, part an attitude problem.
Bishan's been haunted since day 1. It was written in that local ghost story book.
plus my uncle works there, so we always hear stories from him. My cousin worked there part time and also had an experience.
I thought only Doby Ghaut.
when will pple learn that if pple dun get out first, there is NO space for u to enter... so push what push. WAIT LA
i wonder the same thing all the time.
I stare at the people from inside the cabin and they make me look like i'm in the wrong for not allowing them in 1st.
I do that as well. Stare at them. I don't get out, you don't get in.
its common sense. since there is no space, wait for us to get out first, so there is space. the FASTER we get out, ie u not blocking the way
the FASTER u get in... i just think its simple common sense
once again... common sense isn't very common
