Yes. I found out the day before I had t put him down. He would ahve started going into convulsions from blood loss had I waited, and he was hurting so bad that I couldn't do that to him.

My dad went with me, and I sat in the floor with him and snuggled him to the end. They actually cremated him for me and put him in an urn so I still have him in a little pet memorial
