Totally got it taken to us last night at curling. BUT! We did get to eat cake after it was over. Next week I hear there'll be champagne.

Well when we moved to France we had to get involved in local clubs or groups. It's part of language acquisition. So after a few weeks a friend saw a post of facebook for the Curling club

we showed up and they were very hospitable (as hospitable as French people can be). This is our third trip (I usually go with two other friends).

Curling is not very popular in France (i think there's only 100-300 associations in the entire country...so that could mean there are between 1000-2000 people curling. The French love their civic clubs

so last night was the first time my friend Mitchell and I went on a weeknight. They are quite good and we are inexperienced (there's a junior olympian who curls in Albertville). We enjoy but DOMMAGE! the last

meeting is next thursday (the olympic ice rink is being renovated until next September).

also, we were looking for an activity that used repetition and direction instructions (the strategy is usually stronger, slower, further, left, right, curl, so on)

language school can be a tail kicking sometimes. so now we've sort of started to make friends with some of the other curlers, which was the entire purpose to begin with.
