The one advantage of perpetual cloud cover in England was being able to look directly at the eclipse when it was mostly covered.

West Midlands. I was outside when it happened but I didn't see anything.

lunareism: Only about twenty minutes! It varied from hidden to too bright and we were heading into town anyway, so watched the best bit.
