I've been to a traditional circus, and as a kid I thought it was a lot of fun. However, as an adult I'm one of those that prefer a circus WITHOUT the animals. So I'm more a Cirque du Soleil type.

We once went to see the Ringling Brothers' Circus in Florida but it wasn't as impressive as Cirque Du Soleil. Circuses are better with the humans doing the tricks instead of animals.

Cirque Du Soleil's clowns actually manage to be funny and not creepy like the clowns of my childhood. A lot of circuses have followed Cirque's lead and smartened up their act or acts, thankfully.

Yes, it was a bit rinky-dink but that was part of it's charm. I really enjoyed it. Once when I was very small in Belgium there was one that had animals and they seemed soooo sad.

I have been to Ringling Bros at Madison Square Garden. However that was years ago. I would not go to a circus with elephants and other animals now. It seems wrong to me.

I took C to the circus last year. She had a good time. I enjoyed the acrobatics and such too.

I love circus. But I stick to people circuses rather than one that use animals. People circuses are amazing and worth it. Granted I'm biased as I work at a circus school.

Went to Ringling Bros. Circus several times. It was a great show.
