the only thing i know is japadog which is just a street cart, but damn it is good stuff! japanese fusion hot dogs. (and veggie dogs, they have a few options)

pretty sure it's not a suitable choice for a work team dinner, though I'll definitely try and hit it up at some point

i went with friends to the burrard stand and it was really fab
EXP is great for the nerdy crowd
its a videogame themed restaurant
as for general nice places, Gotham for the super fancy
Le Crocodile for very nice mid-range
Spicy 6 for Indian, absolute best
I've never been sorry! wish I could be more helpful
Pink Elephant for super affordable thai and a trendy atmosphere
oh and Blarney Stone & Lamplighter for really nice pubs with good food
Storm Crow is also great for nerdy crowd and delicious and surprisingly cheap as well!

the Sandbar on Granville is a very nice seafood place in a lovely setting
right off the water and granville island is cool to wander around
The Warehouse is good for cheap and delicious as well, but yeah for work stuff it's...probably not the best because of the area. still, good stuff if you have time for other things

highly recommend the island
there are tons of places on the island tbh, it's a good spot for tourists

Dinesty is good for Taiwanese/shanghainese food and there's one near the Aberdeen Skytrain station
There's the Warehouse; they've got a couple of locations downtown. All food t here is five bucks, food isn't so bad

Dynasty on Broadway is good for dim sum in the city, but can get a little expensive comparatively
Kadoya is my favourite for sushi and such
