to be sure I'd say about 60% of what I've had has been really hard to stomach...
Oh no, that's too bad! what kinds have you tried? and what's your favorite cheese usually?
the one's i didn't like were the ones that assulted my nose from 8-10 feet away. I couldnt deal with the smell and then the gooey but not melty texture.
the cheese i bought today is nice and firm and mild. It's from the pyrenees. usually i go for firm cheeses.
this is what i got today-
that sounds delicious, what was it called?
Oh you beat me to it, yum
that cheese is delicious, owly sent it to me once and I will love her forever for it lol
What about brie? I mean, it IS gooey, but it is also delicious.
"can't get into french cheeses" just means "I can't be bothered to give a damn about cheese at all"
ViktorEllisson: persuade that person to order andouillette next time they're eating out
Hopefully the longer you are there the more you will find you like. Firm beats stinky for me to.. usually
I know! That person said 'oh i love the cured meats but not the cheese...' Translation: 'i ate sausage and jambon cru that i liked. But i didnt delve into the dark side of the butchershop.'
Brie is ok. I had a mystery cheese that was like brie but firm that i liked a lot.
yeah i'm with owly. there are 400+ kinds of cheese in france... that person just can't be bothered lol
did someone say to you that YOU, vik, cannot get into french cheeses?
or did someone say that they themselves could not get into french cheeses?
because I thought it was the latter
but some of what I'm reading now makes it seem like the former
he was telling me i cannot get into cheeses. Not 'one' cannot get into the cheeses.
Because you lack the ability or because he says NO? (Or was it "non")
Oh I misunderstood that too
I find it hard to believe that there is not a corner of that hundreds-cheese strong genre that you could not get into
