hel~lo Deeta! welcome to Carvaka!
if it helps at all, we're all really friendly, and only bite if you ask us to! ;D
Hi! I'm Rob, and I've got the Nogitsune and Malcolm Merlyn. Seconding what Raven said. Any questions, just ask! Need tags, lots of us are willing.
yup yup! go ahead and hit the event, if you're ready! I know I'm working on my thing for it rn!
that's really reassuring thanks, and hi!
an angry dragon boy sounds like fun! :3
he's a great character! Though obviously I'm biased.
Same here! Malcolm was a dragon last event.
(also, haha, hi, I'm Raven and I play Jack, oops, should've said that already XD)
Sort of. Everyone had animal/creature aspects during it.
oh that sounds like a lot of fun. Though I have no idea how I'd have made that work for Darc
He could have maybe had his dragon features more exaggerated than usual. That's what happened to Nah, who has a dragon form but doesn't LOOK like a dragon all the time.
oh that would have been cool. He'd actually have liked that lol.
There may be opportunities for similar things in the future in-game.
Though I'm sure there'll be lots of other good events coming up, too.
I'll look forwad to it anyway! And work out the best way of starting Darc off in the game...at some point.
oh! I have a question. I'm going to go back over the FAQ stuff before I write anything up anyway, but does it mention anywhere whether characters bring things like weapons with them? I don't remember seeing it
that could just be down to forgetfulness though.
I am the person with a Sonic the Hedgehog character in a sex game and people seem cool enough with that
You play Espio right? That brought back some memories! I used to read sonic the comic when I was younger.
Espio was my favourite out of the Chaotix, actually!
Characters arrive with whatever they had on them from the exact moment you've taken them from.
So for instance, my first character had his cell phone, handgun, battery charger, ammo clips, and everything else that had been on him at the time, but my second character was just in a dress so she came in
with whatever other mundane things she had had on her
But in short, if it makes sense for the canon point you picked, your character can show up with their weapons.
You mean the UK comic? Or the Archie one? Because if actually STC AAAAAAA
And yep, I play a humanised Espio with heavy FF8-based CRAU
The UK ones!! I'm in the UK
I even had the first one that came out! Though that was given to me later.
OMG! <3 You have no idea how rare it is to find someone in DWRP who knows that version!
ahhh, then I'm glad we got to meet!! I kinda know what it's like being in a really tiny fandom, no-one ever seems to have heard of Darc's canon, either.
I've heard of Arc the Lad, but I'm only familiar with the anime, ahahaha...

beyond that, I just know there's a video game or two.
(I have been on and off trying to watch it, but the English dub is the only version I could find and it's kind of painful to trudge through.)
At least you know what it is!!! Though Twilight of the Spirits is pretty different from all the other ones, apparently. It's the only one that was ever released in the UK though, so I don't know much about that
and only some console systems are cross-compatible with other countries' releases
darn region locking and other methods /shakes fist
Anyway, I never actually introduced myself. I am Numi, and I play Accelerator (Toaru Majutsu no Index, aka Science, Magic and Punching People in the Face: The Musical) and Maya Mari (Samurai Flamenco, by the
same people who brought us Tiger & Bunny)
Science, magic, and punching people in the face: the musical ha! It sounds delightful.
It is. lots of espers vs magicians in a worldwide power struggle.
it's actually a series of light novels that has manga and anime adaptations, plus two manga spinoffs that focus on other characters, one of which has an anime adaptation
(the manga adaptation for Index kind of sucks, but the Railgun manga is excellent and has a superior version of the Sisters Arc, and the Accelerator spinoff is only about 15 monthly chapters in, but is decent.)
It must be confusing to have so many canon sources! Or do you just pick one version and stick to it?
I go with the light novels and supplement from other sources where it fits in well and doesn't outright contradict. for instance, the accelerator spin-off is all new material, and the railgun manga's
version of the Sisters Arc is superior to the Index version
though partly b/c of new material that was never seen in the novels cos it was from Mikoto's point of view
I see! I kind of wish there was more stuff for Arc: TotS but at the same time the game was so good and the ending was excellent. There is 'Arc the lad: end of darkness' which is supposed to have TotS characters
in it, but it's not available here, and I heard it was so bad that fans discounted it as canon. I don't particularly want to play it because of that.
ouch, yeah, that sounds unpleasant.
yeah, some of the things I heard about it were just really disappointing and just seemed like they really didn't fit.
