I just vote for the people who can keep the wheels turning. Also, I've just voted once in my life and first time was more about being excited to do it for the first time than anything else. But I'd feel

powerless if I was the only one voting or trying to make a change but that's not the case. Collectively I think we can make a change by simply not voting for the idiots and assholes and voting for the better

I'm in the UK but we had our general election recently and it felt like picking the best candidate from a list of shitty candidates

I feel powerless on a more national scale than I do local. Local feels like my participation means more.
