..Went to the ER after much complaint & distain from husband {been nauseated &/or vomitting since the 24th after eating &/or drinking anything. They did bloodwork; did a urine test; gave an IV & fluids - my
body must of been like yay fluids! cuz it sucked the bag up within the span of a mike & molly? show. They gave me something for the vomiting/nausea, & milk stomach cramps. Almost immediate relief.. til I took a
sip of ginger ale. It came back with a vengence.. I've been told if I vomit within 24hrs to come back.. They didn't do anything specifical & idk if they should have or what else I can do to not feel like I'm
gonna hurl nearly every blessed minute of the day now. It goes away....when I sleep mostly but that's about it.
Before I went to the ER I'd tried pepto {tablets}, Zofran 4mg, ginger-ale, sprite, water, foods ranging from plain toast to a full meal etc. I thought at first it was just a really bad case of my IBS but when
that strikes it's usually not like this it's more omg I ate something that didn't agree and my stomach starts cramping in a specific area like no you didn't just put that in your body.. Were as with this its
everything and ANYTHING will and did make it very mad at me ><
that sounds horrible. tbh, this is probably gonna sound stupid depending on your judgements, but if you've ever smoked weed and liked it, i'd give that a try
erm no can't say i have and i wouldn't know how/where to get my hands on it - yah.. it sucks - the nausea/vomitting
i have eating/nausea problems because of my medication and weed helps me eat
ooh >_< yeah ofcourse. i live in holland so its legal here
yeah sorry idk

it sucks being nauseas
very.. I had crackers when I got home actually was the first thing I'd eaten all day and was all yay it calmed my stomach.....for about 10mins then it came well you get the point
oh god. its especially annoying, in my expierence, when i get nauseas when i know i'm hungry. its like yeah i would like to eat but the nausea prevents me from doing so
NO idea what could be causing it
because im assuming they did tests?
my first guess would be food poisoning, thats what it sounds like
...they drew blood, took a pee test that's about it
my hospital has a .. talent for slapping a bandaid on a bullet hole
oh wow :/ well if u werent already, start taking ibuprofen. it helps with infections in case its a bacteria
i just got over an infection - cellulitis and i started getting sick at the end of the sulfur med treatment.
They DID tell me if i had any more vomiting within 24hrs to come back.. had crackers .. and that lasted about 10mins.. but... i assume they ment AFTER i get the new nausea med nods that's what i'll assume ^^
As a nurse... I would say NOT to go to an er, they can fix it temporarily, but if this is issue then you need to see a specialist. If you need a referral with your insurance, call your pcp and set up
An apt so you can get one. Honestly it could be food poisoning which sucks a few days, but it could be a number of other things.
i already made a call to my gastro... i can't get in to see him for bout 2wks... so thus i went to ER and thus i asking for opinions/suggestions etcs
and yes Lillie I have the results of the blood & urine tests.. They said mostly everything looked 'ok' and sides from a couple things everything was within range even if on the low or high end
they probably want yo uto go back in if you vomit more because then you'll be at risk for dehydration, if you cant keep anything down
