Melanie always disliked the numbers in her SL name: Melanie774 Kidd. They were chosen hastily. It's her birthday month and year. She was just shy of turning another year. She died at 40.

So sorry to hear this Carson. I know you two were very close and I remember her kindness. Thinking of you and her friends and family.

I'd consider it benefiting Hospice or a cancer society.

Or just privately think of her next time you're considering a donation to one of those organizations.

Kuu Ipo was the name of her sim, by the way. I'm not a merchant or blogger or builder, but I might name an item Kuu Ipo in her honor and donate the proceeds.

Hey all. To be clear, the last direct communication I had with Melanie was 5/28 and her text to me was "Getting iv right now." Since then, I have been checking the obituaries every single day for over a month.

This Saturday night, her obituary finally showed up online. Out of respect for her and her family, I chose not to give the date she died. Which was July 1.

My thought was that she was extremely private and probably did not want her information public. I posted my plurk Saturday night, 30 minutes after finding out via online obit that she died in hospice care.

I certainly didn't want a remembrance of Melanie to end in bile and I have no ill feelings for any misunderstanding. I wish you all well and the best.

melakidd passed away from cancer five years ago today. She also would have been 46 this month. <3
