I have been saying for at least a year that I have to try making black bean brownies. Why do I ALWAYS forget to buy black beans?

I think I'm still suspicious of the idea.

I would be too, but I don't like black beans, so...

They say you can't tell, though, that the black beans actually compliment the recipe really well.. it just sounds weird, though. Usually I'm not so hesitant about trying recipes.

Especially if the weird-seeming ingredients are plant-based.

I know a lot of Japanese sweets are bean-based. Not really sure how I feel about black bean brownies.

They say that you can't tell that there's beans in them. That the color works and they subtly compliment the chocolate well. It's supposed to be a healthy dessert thing.

I have the bad habit of making healthy desserts too healthy.. there's no point if they're not still very similar to the original. (Well.. that's not entirely true. Because breakfast.)

I always improvise my healthy dessert recipes.. I can't figure out why the hell I haven't tried the recipe that's EVERYWHERE and seems to be well-loved.

My secret brownie recipe involves adding espresso powder to the mix. High octane crack.

Ooo, that does sound good. Like if brownies and chocolate covered espresso beans got together and made babies..
