Knowing that he helped put Kanto and Johto in the same game because he figured out how to compress the code to help save space... is just amazing.

And that's not even scratching the surface with Earthbound and Balloon Fight and so many other games, even convincing the Nintendo execs that Smash would be super awesome.

We can be sad for his passing and for the people who knew him personally but let's also be happy for what he did for gaming and recognize those accomplishments.
