Just had the first attempted break in in this house I have ever experienced and have never been so happy Maple is an antisocial paranoid pooch

Someone rattled the front door knob pretty heftily and Maple and I both heard it. She took off for the living room barking her meanest bark.

whoever it was was gone by the time I followed her out there but it still freaked me out

Now I'm hiding in my room in the dark trying not to have movie style flashbacks to the break-ins I've been in the house for in the past.

I'm so terrified of break-ins nowadays. I have small can't breathe panic attacks when I think they might happen again and this was no exception.

luckily I have a small fluffy puppy to cling to while I remember breathing and two big ones to hide behind
