StereoNacht: No one associated with Firestorm is paid for their work. Everyone is a volunteer. Perks would include the same we all get pride in participating on the team, knowledge your work has helped
others use SL, and your name included in the acknowledgments section of Help/About Firestorm. Also, I put my Firestorm work on my RL resume, but I know come people don't mix SL and RL.
sammflorian and VictoriaLenoirre: It could potentially work, but there's nothing put in place at this time to organize what I guess would be "xml volunteers," which I'd wager would be just as hard to rope in
as people willing to do both. At this time, I would suggest that if anyone wants to translate but doesn't want to do xml, you're more than welcome to find an xml buddy and share the work that way.
Th'other possibility is t'get an xml person set up with Google Translate (or a dictionary) t'do a rough first draft, and then have a native speaker go through and make corrections.
Google Translate or a dictionary might result in some strangeness that will confuse users more than English terms if they're not used by people who have some knowledge of both the language and the tech.
