It's probably a comment on religion, yeah, but I think it's fundamentally true. What we deduce from science isn't always correct, but I think Tyson would say that there's a difference between those deductions..

..and the phenomena that underly it. He'd probably say that the phenomena are the science—not the human-made conclusions about them.
