Anyone who knows me knows I was like "I don't care how bad it is, I'll love it!"
But it was too bad. The first half was actually p solid and I love love love the cast, but it just fell apart.
It's like 90min, there's no real climax, the dialogue is really clunky and predictable, there wasn't much in the way of fighting.
Like I know some of you will have to make your own mistakes but srsly. It takes a lot for me to discourage people from a movie.
Oh and the CGI was p awful at times for how important it was
i heard doom's barely in it
That sucks. I was hoping it would make up for the other ones. :/
oh god, really????? the trailer looked so good though
whoever that editor is should be promoted
so it's a fantastic four movie, is what you're saying
The reviews on Rotten Tomatoes are throwing so much shade.
'Frankly, it's amazing this is watchable at all.'
greenanddying: Victor is in it somewhat. Doom is only in it a teeny bit. I
literally thought of how much you would hate him as he was on screen.
awh, that's upsetting. :c
I really wanted to watch it
We did a press only screening. Of the 38 press, myself, my guests, my coworker, and her guests? Zero people liked it and only five said anything remotely positive (like "great cast" & "I liked the music")
And like.. understand, this is a VERY wide variety of press that almost never agree.
And, like I said, the first half actually felt p good.
Someone said it felt like a pilot for a TV show and I kind of agree with them.
The kind of show where you're recommending it like "no man, I know the pilot sucks, but it gets better"

I feel like this emote is me and FF movies
Instead, go see: Man from UNCLE, Mission Impossible Rogue Nation, or Ant-Man (in that order)
Maybe switch Ant-Man and MI5, but Man from UNCLE is wonderful.
Please wait to see this until it's cheaper unless you have a free ticket or something. It's not like "ow 90min of my life" terrible (I mean I got paid to see it so grain of salt) but it's not worth $10
It's the Spiderman curse. You just can't make a good Marvel movie unless it's MCU.
I disagree in that I love the XMen movies (most of them) and didn't like some of the MCU (Thor 2, among others). What they need is to take
their time and find new and interesting writers/directors rather than making it a cookie cutter committee enterprise.
I honestly forgot about the newer X-Men movies
weh :c this is disappointing, it looked like it might have some promise
