on some cardboard, remembering tired buzzies can sometimes be revived with a little sugar solution...struggled to find some then worried offering honey might be unethical or something...managed to proffer a

little sweet solution and gently prodded the bee, who flailed and got covered in the stuff....left it safe and half sheltered, with little hope it'd make it....but went to check half an hour later

and the plucky little bugger had managed to feed, clean and fly off. No-one else seems remotely impressed I saved a bee today but I feel quite proud of myself...

we did this at work with some sugar dissolved in water, and when they fly off it's so lovely
