Wrapping this film on Thursday, which has been crazy. Starting the next film on Tues (don't ask how that works), which should be lower key, so hopefully will be less tired in August and doing more RP.

Sure, I would be down if you are! Ringer is from the 5th Wave right? I keep seeing the book in stores when we grocery shop

Yep! It's a fun series. Starts a little slow and I personally don't like the main character much, but it's p great for a YA series (only 2 of the 3 out so far)

Yeah. I have a hard time with YA, but I might pick it up if I find it a half price or something

What's your issue with YA? Because if it's writing quality or POV stuff, then you might not get through it, haha. I usually don't mind YA and struggled for the first while.

(It changes POVs between Cassie, Zombie, etc. Cassie I find boring as hell, personally, so it's a struggle but I love Zombie and all his squad)

I think it's because YA writing is a lot simpler and I don't always get the detail that I want? Or I find it predictable maybe? IDK. I think a part of it is that so many of the YA novels I've read started good

and then suddenly ROMANCE is introduced and it turns to crap or decisions don't make any damn sense in order to introduce romance
Moulin_Hearts

i have nothing against it, i just hate it when it derails an entire book for the sake of the romance

I guess I never feel as satisfied with YA as I do with other novels /shrugs/ I felt that way when I read Sneigoski's YA novels based in the same universe as his remy chandler novels
Moulin_Hearts

and his remy chandler novels are far and away much better

especially when i felt one character in the YA novels was shoved in for the sole purpose of providing a romance that had no build up or justification

Don't get me wrong, there are good ones! Harry Potter is still a favorite
Moulin_Hearts

but most of the ones I see now just don't do it for me, though I do have a few in my library I want to read that sounded good plot wise
