I actually really liked it, it was very close to the book. Most of the changes I thought flowed really well with the movie

No break in at Sea world and no Q being a hero to the underclassmen were my only disappointments

They also nixed the whole 'We have to get there by this time or she'll do something stupid like kill herself!' aspect. Which I kinda liked.

Yea it made it dramatic and scary in the book but I can see why they chose not to do it in the movie

Most of the issues I have with book to film are because I can't tell why the choices are made but with this I can so even if there are differences there's enough similarity that it's ok
