i think most people use a template so a majority of the coding won't be done by you anyway

there are a few sites out there that offer hosting, some of us are using f a i r y f o u n t a i n dot net ++ version ten ++ amano's fairy and the owner was very helpful when i was having a problem getting it up and running!

i don't know if there's an easy way to code double decks, though, i think many people with nifty mass deck pages just hardcode them instead

it'll make easy updating harder, but in etcg you can create as many categories as you want

you could simply create A-Z categories for trading

etcg automatically organizes cards alphabetically anyway

so you won't have to do it manuall

so for trade pile is auto updated, just throw in the names? mass decks are coded by hand right

they don't need to be, it depends on your style. if you don't bother displaying mass decks the way i do and do it more like sammich, you don't need to code by hand

if you like doing it my way, yeah. but you can also utilize ten's way, and that doesn't require coding by hand

instead of using easy update i actually add cards from games and stuff by entering them as trades, so it logs them and i just edit the logs to take out the parts that don't make sense

like i'll put the game as who i'm trading with, leave what i'm trading blank and put the cards in what i'm receiving, and it'll come out like

i was gonna go ahead and throw up a plurk guide to etcg and site coding and stuff--

the other thing i like about logging games like trades is that etcg puts it all in the same place that way, if you add things through easy update then those go in a separate activity log from your trade log

and i like to have them both together

worth is not really relevant to colors, but some tcgs weigh their cards differently

like, some might weigh special-type cards as worth 2 regular cards for instance

so etcg has a worth function to accomodate that

colors doesn't do weighing so all cards are worth 1, but if you don't want a category to count in etcg's card worth counting function, you can set it to worth 0

etcg is.... i'm not sure what you'd call it really, but most hosts will pre-install it for you if you ask them to

so you don't need to go searching for it

what I do when I paste cards is to right-click > view image > double-click the card name > CP it for all the cards

...PRETTY MUCH YEAH but it's definitely much faster for me than manually typing and also guarantees that I won't misread card names

you need notepad, wordpad or word for this though

basically cp the list of cards the other person is asking for onto notepad

make sure there is a space [ ] and a comma [,] in front and behind each card name. shouldn't be too difficult, usually you only have to add a space to the very beginning of the list

and a comma at the end

hit ctrl+h, aka find and replace

put the space in the find box and <img src="colors-tcg.eu/cards/ in the replace box

hit replace all

do the same for , and .gif">

VOILA

you're done

like, do you want the 00s to appear mixed in with the category of cards or not mixed in?

like, you want the 00 cards on your collecting page? there's a place to specify your placeholder when you assign a deck to collecting, if that's what you mean

well, if you want to display the whole deck as a 5x4 or whatever arrangement you want

if you're talking about your futures where you don't, it's still possible

you can list the cardname00 in the category and it'll appear, although it'll be worth 1 if you do it that way

the way i do it is by creating another category called futures fillers, and i set the category to worth 0

then i put all the 00 cards in there

You can download template .css files that'll take care of the appearance of your site's layout from places like punk-rose.com | graphic and resources, dark textures, lyric textu...

but you'll still have to make another notepad .php to ensure everything functions with etcg and stuff. :x

It's just a regular notepad file but you have to make the file extension .php for it to work with everything else. I can't explain it much better than that, sobs. ;n;

when i started out, Sky was a huge help with getting it setup with all the things that're necessary to making it work though, and there's probably other folks as well that'd know how to explain properly though!
