One of my weekly lifework assignments is to be mindful of the type of thoughts I have thought out my day. It's exercising my mind to be more self-aware.
So my log yesterday, 09/03/15: constructive thoughts 38%, expansive thoughts 61%, regular derpiness 1-5%. I'm just quantifying this way as personal preference.
I noted it earlier. And after calling myself out on it I began wondering like what would I'd like to have going on right now versus what I'm experiencing.
It shifted my thinking from sulking in the moment, being all grumbly, to thinking beyond this negativity and looking forward to creative things that's in alignment with me.
So when another "fire" occurred at work, instead of thinking, ugh why's this happening to me, I just thought, OK I see we're all on top of it and we're going to get through it.
