So my husband is sorta kinda willing to start watching anime (GASP?!)

He wants to start with the horror genre. Surprisingly as much of a horror fan as I am, I don't know of many good horror animes

Gonna need something as terrifying and creepy as possible without having adult sexual content or excessive swearing

Closest thing I know of is Hellsing but it's bordering on the 'too adult'' side and is more gothic than scary...

Just to be clear my husband is in fact an adult, hahah. We prefer the non-adult animes on moral grounds. So any suggestions within those guidelines are welcome and appreciated!

I'm not even sure if it counts as horror, but there are a lot of supernatural elements and it's kinda creepy.

Violence is fine, but it'd be better if there isn't a ridiculous amount of gore
