it's necrotic tissue your body is ejecting, according to my gyno...if you're not ill/have an std or something, it's normal

yeah it's just uterine lining with enough exposure to oxygen to start oxidizing. it's super dark and super gross, but it's a pretty normal thing

It happened on and off for me. But yes if you haven't been to a gyn in awhile I would definitely go get the screening, just in case

it totally depends on the birth control and your own body!

when i first went on BC it made my period way lighter/shorter/more bright red, but that one didn't work so i switched to another and it went back to "normal"

which was super dark with occasional spotting
