The more I find out about Marvelous Designer, the more I'm wondering if I should spend $550 USD to get a perpetual license and start making serious SL mesh clothing...

But it'd take a couple years to make back that kind of investment, and I'm not sure I have time to spend making designs...

Just getting used to photoshop was a mess, and I am still pretty mediocre at it. I totally gave up on 3d software. >.<

You could at least do the 15 day trial and see if it's usable for you at all...

Looks interesting tho. If it helps to remove some steps from 3d design so you can quickly get good results ...

Maybe when I can get 15 days in a row to work on outfits, then I could do a whole line using the trial! But they probably make it so you can only save bare minimum stuff or only one thing or something

Yeah, it looks like it makes draping and wrinkles super easy

I almost wish SL could use the physics from MD in rendering SL outfits, so regardless of avatar, the outfit would hang and sway naturally

That would make SL awesome

If you find out its any good you could rent it for 1 month for 59 bucks and see what you get finished ... :-)

Yah, but if you make 1 or 2 dresses, sell each for 250L...

which is around 1 buck... you only need to sell like 30 of both each to have the 59 bucks back. :-)

You just need to use those 14 days and see if it's any good and what you could acomplish in 30 days renting it, and then do a business case and see if it works for you. :-)
