I planned this woman to be a scheming vixen and she's turned into this sweet naive little creature who likes fairy tales and is easily taken in by a hot guy with a glib tongue.

I'm tempted to have her say something badass to the effect of family being more than blood at the proper moment. Which is still several chapters in the future, but planning ahead does not hurt.
