and i just am amazed with this idea
of regis not seeing hal for a long time
but hes like out
making some kind of patrol to help some

kidnapped children escape some rogue vampire cult
and its like
ok im doin the defense
but when he gets there
as he's fighting all of these vampires

out of nowhere-- he realizes his brother is there
like he's so quick though, that it's like a flash of a thought. And Hal doesn't even recognize Regis' smell, so hes paying him 0 mind
and hal is there

to rekk cause he hates when anyone tries to take advantage of children-- and for the first time they're on the same side

and his hair is long and hes just so cool and its like yeeeeee
cause hal has long hair and he's just grown up alot and he just is so cool
but also its like
effortless danger

and hes killing all these vampires and he gets to regis
and he's about to try to eat him--
but then he pauses like
squints
'you look familiar.'

maybe even a
"have we met before?"

but now even like

and then its that realization

this long hair don't care hal is an interesting development

it's an interesting counterpoint to the regular sensitive hal

and maybe
like if you think of it
this entire sensitivity thing
is just him growing up
and hes meant to live

a long time

so he was essentaiilly a big toddler
and imagine hes like
super protective of his kindom

and everyone like
super respects the king

(who isnt a human lol)

if hal were to be put in a situation where he felt he had no other choice he would

then he would probably ask regis to leave prompt
cause like
i mean part of the attatchment couldhave also come from the siring

and that moment of biting into someone
and just feeling that connection for that moment

cause there's nothing like your first bite

i feel like the siring is like a good half of it tbh because like

that makes such a bond

and already they're brothers and it just made it 100% worse
