As someone who thinks Inglorious Basterds was Tarantino's best and Django was alright until the endings (there were like 3), I think Hateful 8 was surprisingly entertaining for its 167min runtime,

but could still be a bit slow at times. idk. Solid story, great acting. Fun characters. But just lacked that certain something.

(I should point out that those lucky 50ish theaters with a Christmas 70mm release will actually have a runtime of 182min including a 12min intermission.. but everyone else gets the theatrical of 167)

(So you should see the Roadshow version if you're able)
