Basically I wanted to know what your guys' thoughts are, regarding builds that take advantage of the stuff that lets you operate stronger a Critical Health (ie Crisis, Desperation, etc)
And/or how sustainable it is or whether it's worth it.
Especially since I might be switching out one of Kazuki's techs for one that boosts but he pays health at a cost.
critical boosts are most worth it in the hardest fights
which is a good deal, generally speaking
because that's when you want to be strong
I'm also probably refunding Proficiency (Observation) in order to get 8 SP to get Resilient and Iron Defense L1 naturally.
I might invest in Crisis at least, then.
I guess I'm moving Kazuki into more of a glaass cannon-y roll but
I feel like that fits better.
and Crisis is a +6 to all attacks at rank one which is. A solid deal.
Especially ontop of Energy Attacker
Crisis, Desperation, and Daredevil
then you kind of gloriously nova at low health
The main problem I see there is being able to keep in Crit range without 1) dropping like a stone
or 2) being healed out of crit range at the wrong time
the rewards are high, but so are the risks
Kazuki's updated defense block is 22 Def/25 Resist
I guess what I'm asking is
"does that seem appropriate enough for the level that I could consider crit techniiques and not immediately explode"
with Crit Health at 84, after level up
Because I'VE BEEN CONSIDERING IT FOR A WHILE but I just don't have a good enough handle on the math to figure out whether Kazuki's too fragile to make critical boosts worth it
he has high guts and mind, but low str/spirit, so his defenses are kind of middle of the road
A middling-defense frontliner is honestly pretty ideal for a Crisis build
1: Coordinate witih healers on the fly
and 2: Accept that you migiht drop sometimes
2 is an acceptable recourse, and honestly makes sense
given Kazuki's perceived 'fragility'

That means his skills are gonna be Iron Defense (to bring his Defense in line with his Resistance) and Crisis L1
while refunding Observation Proficiency
I was also considering making Zenshin a piercing Rush Attack
in order to deal with groups of tough mooks at once
since defenses are pretty even typically across the board
and it makes sense with the imagery of the move, IE, the sudden flash to one side the field and drop a bunch of people at once.
I may also start looking at Clash counterattacks
Especially since the new Flash Draw lets me cover a considerable distance.
3 spaces, I think, with Dash L2 on an Agility ability?
since Agility doesn't effect how much you get from levelling up Dash

and holy shit I think I'd be considering never changing Kazuki's skills after this if they are at least like
halfway where they should be
