a writer I followed was thinking about doing Undertale for their Youtube channel

and immediately got a message saying "if you don't do pacifist kill yourself"

And got several more messages in the same vein apparently, because now they've sworn off the game entirely and had to de-internet

do these people hear themselves

It's so fucking frustrating because these people are chasing off people who would be genuinely interested in the game otherwise

also, if there is any game that encourages playing over a different way, I'd think it's Undertale

seeing as how that's a major theme?

why does it matter if someone doesn't do a pacifist run first time?

Yeah. Besides, you need to get the neutral ending first anyway.

This is any big fandom, though, I think, especially with younger folks.

They're still old enough to know better.

There' s always some assholes with opinions that don't make a lot of sense.

I just remember how insular and rude the Homestuck fandom became and I don't want Undertale's to become the same way

but sadly I think that's just wishful thinking
