also advice on places to stay in LA. We're staying one night, Sunday 14 Feb, after a family wedding in Santa Barbara. We don't fly out until midafternoon, so proximity to LAX isn't key.
Given the holiday weekend, I'd stay in Santa Barbara or Ventura rather than face southbound traffic Sunday afternoon
Better to head south at like 10-11am Monday
I'm sure it's sold out for the weekend but a COOL place to stay near SB is El Capitan Canyon - glamping, awesome little market with prepared dinners and wine, and great views.
Theres also Solvang, a Danish town, which is about an hour north/east of SB, awesome wineries. You could stay there Sunday, have a little time to browse/eat before LAX
I've heard fantastic things about the Redbury in Hollywood but if we stay in LA (not Park and Fly), we usually stay in Pasadena.
Any name hotel near Colorado Blvd is fine - tons of restaurants, shops here there.
