Today I lived the weekend lifestyle I've always strived to have! And it was a lot of fun!
Now this isn't a huge departure from what I normally do, and this isn't a hugely new thing for me, but it feels like it's been a very long time since I've stayed out till 4 am running around the city
and hanging out partying with strangers.
I went to go make a sale today, and then after went to this board game even where you get to meet random strangers and play new board games. And then I got invited to their place later around midnight.
So after board games with a new friend, I went to grab a late 10 PM dinner with him and a relatively new different friend who joined us, and then after that we went to this midnight party and met all sorts
of new cool (also somewhat intimidatingly bright) people, and that lasted till 4 AM. And this is just sooo... nice.
I mean yeah it's a little socially scary and kind of tiring. But it's also just so nice putting yourself out there and running around and doing so many different activities with different new people.
And making friends out of strangers (and chilling at their houses and not being murdered, but instead having a great time) is just so NICE.
It's so NICE to get to be outgoing and hang out with other outgoing people.
Most of my friends are more introverted, and I tend to feel a bit awkward because I want to hang out with people that force me to step out of my comfort zone and I REALLY thirst for new activities.
And of course, doing new things alone or with strangers is never easy and a little bit scary, but it's the sort of thing I had hoped I'd be brave enough to do when I was younger, thinking of my future self
at this age. So it's just SO NICE to realise I'm the type of person that can actually go for it.
It wasn't perfect, and it never is, but I'm still very happy! I'm happy with myself, and I'm happy with my socially intense evening, and I'm just happy with intensity in general.
Hooray! I'm glad to find people that are cool with having strangers over till 4 AM and having good clean fun! hahah.
GOD I LOVE FUN.
And they even gave me some really lovely rose tea from france that was so fragrant and floral! What a neat evening!
Oh and by 'awkward' I meant i am pretty sure I tire out a lot of my friends, and that's kinda a bad feeling. BUT! New house party strangers with neat-o teas invited me back to party with them tomorrow!
(Later today, sure but) YAY! I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED AS ONE OF THEIR OWN. SOCIAL VALIDATION etc etc, it's a nice feeling.
Also these new people are like, creepy fanatical about playing this one particular game.

And I love how cultish they are about this good clean fun thing, hahah! Humans are great!
