i was listening to the beastcast and they mentioned how they take the bios in XCOM as is, but every time they level up they can add something new to it to flesh out their characters...

and it just made me want to play it more

Tbh getting overly attached to your units is the only reason to play turn based strategy games. THE BONDS OF BATTLE...

They get dumb little nicknames... it's so endearing
