Can't you just call it stereotypical is that's what you mean?
I mean it's from Japan and JRPGs mostly follow similar tropes to anime since they both come from Japan
Sometimes the way people say this stuff comes off as a bit unconciously racist and puritanical
Though I do know that a lot of it is mostly complaining about common stereotypes they're tired of, which is why I think they should just say cliche instead
I was just reading some SA Tales series LPs
Mostly it seemed to come up in the one for Tales of Graces
(I kind of say it's a little racist because I've seen people call things "anime" when what they're complaining about isn't something exclusive to anime though)
There are some things I've recently felt were "too anime" to use the term, But then I feel like the anime industry
(and just things catering to the same demographic in Japan) is really starting to eat it's own tail.
But not in the way of something is just following a theme or style.
But I can see where people would say that just to hate on anime and japanese games.
The thing is that some of the stuff they complain about is stuff that I happen to like or stuff that I think they're making a bigger deal out of than it deserves since it's fiction
I like Tsunderes and stupid male protags like the kind you see a lot in shonen and jrpgs amuse me (though I can understand people complaining about both due to how over used they are)
And it's pretty easy to do a tsundere wrong too so there's that
And I can see why people might not like the cute little sister character who has a crush on the protagonist, but people get worked up over it sometimes even when it's played fairly innocently
And even when isn't it's just fiction, so it's fine if you don't like it, but the way some people act about it still seems like an overreaction
Though yeah, it does seem like a lot of anime recently is a bit heavy on stereotypes and fanservice and is a lot shallower than it used to be, so I can understand people being annoyed about that too
There will always be ignorant people out there, best to pay it no mind.
