I really enjoy ships where the two characters have been through a lot together, but didn't start out as romantically involved and that grew and developed as time passed, but they always had a platonic liking.
Soldier/soldier bonds are some of my most favorite, during active warfare, or another large stressors that really emotional bonds the two characters.
That said, co-dependancy isn't something I like to see a ship. A really close connection, but :not: utter I can't live without you drama. That's icky.
I like romances where even if they are no longer together it's still clear they love each other in some capacity.
I don't enjoy ships where the couples bicker all the time. Teasing or sarcasm, if done in a way that you know the couple isn't actually on each others nerves is no prob.
I really enjoy ships where the love is mostly expressed through doing rather than saying. I don't dig confessions or love, or internal freaking out about loving one another. They aint got time for that and...
me neither. I'm not a fan of big pillow talks and discussions about how much they love each other. That said if they need something or are unhappy about it they can't let it fester, because that's aggrivating.
I love me so back to back badasses
I <3 couples that have a really good working, combat, story achieving partnership between the two of them.
Interactions where the reader/watcher a can see how the couple really get how each other work, think, do.
M/F M/M F/F all good by me, even M/F/F, M/M/F, if everyone's in agreement.
different ethnicity together, different species.
Empathetic bonds of moderate to mild strength.
Years spend together. Long term committed couples.
That's about all I can draw out picking my brain myself. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I bet I know the answer.
