it is not as heavy and it does not smell like a book... but personally i really like it, i still prefer actual books but i love my kindle

I'm the same way. I LOVE LOVE books something about holding a big is dunno. Holding a tablet I don't get the same sensation i would when holding a actual book, but I do like to read on it.

depends on the size tablet you have, I myself have a big 10.1 inch one

yea I was thinking about a 9 or 10 inch so that I can use it for movies as well as books, but I don't know how comfortable a bigger one would be for holding onto for reading.

I read on mine constantly, its actually my number one use for it, it can sometimes be awkward depending on where your reading but 90% of the time its amazing

you can't really hold onto it one handed for reading though you kinda have to rest it on your lap/chest/chair arm a bit at least I do

I looked at the Fire, but the fact that it has it's own operating system and browser kind of put me off because I know that if I buy something like this I do need more uses for it

then just reading or I won't buy it.

Maybe just get a Kindle?

I have an older lenovo, and I adore it I was looking at this one recently for an upgrade on my current one for maybe my birthday this year

I adore my tablet, I can do SO much on it and its so useful, it helps me with my anxiety big time to, and I love reading on it it is big sometimes but I wouldn't want a smaller one either

That's a nice one! Size is a big concern, if I get one too small I'll never use it, but too big would lead to the same problem. 8 inch sounds good until I think of watching movies on it lol

the only time I find it 'to big' is when I need to find a way to carry it around with me easily cus I dont have a bag I like, and when I'm really tired and dont feel like holding it otherwise I love it

I have a kobo and I love it, when you read it feels like reading a book, while a tablet makes my eyes tired more easily.

never heard of a Kobo, looking at it it looks like a Kindle Paperwhite. Can you only get books from Kobo for it? I'm from the U.S. so not sure about that unless it can open different types of file extensions.

Woah, was checking out that Kobo, the reviews are scary, lots of defective units it looks like with customer service not being all that helpful. :/

Well, at this point I'm almost sold on the Kindle Paperwhite, but it is 5am here so no ordering things until I sleep and see how it looks when I'm awake.
