Anyway Colin's pretty good for her

I'm sure they have. XD He'd mostly tell her to just try to ignore him. If he gets too much on her nerves, come rant to papa. He can't MAKE people get along and he knows it.

The biggest problem Ibuki had before then was just... not having that somebody that she felt she could trust

I mean the main character in the canon only gets a vague hint of her issues

Colin gives her attention right up to the point where it starts being negative. XD At that point, he will show he can also be stern papa.

Stern CARING papa, but he also knows how to put his foot down, and she seems capable of listening.

He just hits all the right buttons with her

I love that, for all he encourages her and guides her... when it comes down to it, she basically seems to trust him completely, and he ain't gonna abuse that. XD

When he says "No", she doesn't seem like she'll protest, or even resent it. "Okay papa" and listening to him instead.
