[Politics] It's nice to see a news source as mainstream in MSNBC really get up in arms about how flawed and rigged the superdelegate system is.
latest #14
After MSNBC has been counting superdelegates for how many months now?
I guess they figure it's safe to do actual reporting now that they're sure the race is over (or something)

Hillary's still winning the popular vote

She isn't winning it in those states, but nationally she is

If that turns around, the SDs will probably start switching sides
Yeah, they don't vote until the convention. They've never overturned the will of the voters before.
This fact is conveniently left out of almost all mainstream reporting to date, though, including msnbc. So it looks like Hillary has a 700 delegate lead when it's really 205.

FiveThirtyEight's been pretty consistent about mentioning that, but I'm not sure how mainstream it is. Samantha Bee had a good explanation of the superdelegates this week, too
Bless Sam Bee.

And yeah, unfortunately msnbc along with everyone else hasn't really talked about superdelegates besides reporting their counts as delegates.

But hopefully a page is turning on that?

(Or, y'know, as somebody on that page supposed the casters might just get fired.)
