Do you like it? Do people come to you or do you reach out to them?
And it's a little of both.
My company is technically closed, so only union and association members have access unless they're sponsored.
So, members send in cards for no-cost benefits, which I deliver, and I explain the permanent, costing benefits they also now have access to.
I have to call them, and most have forgotten they ever sent in the card, so it can FEEL like cold-calling. But it's really not.
And then they sponsor someone to receive the no-cost benefits and access to the other benefits... but never tell them.
So I sound like a telemarketer.
But the actual job? Is great. Because I show people their options and try to protect their families.
