we're talking jobs? Waiting on immigration paperwork but I'm a freelance writer with a BSc in Marine Biology. Hope to study humpback song one day, or any cetacean work in Atlantic Canada really.
Every whale sings the same song that every other whale in their region does and they all just sorta seem to download the same single or something cause they know, dude, they know.
But no quite often a dude will sing to a single lady but they don't seem too bothered by mothers with calves so it probably is booty call but I NEED TO KNOW FOR SCIENCE
Other theories include - they sing to tell other whales what way to go to migrate; it's to help determine how close they are to other whales; one book I read jokingly suggested it was "maaaaaan I'm hungry".
