I went out with a few coworkers tonight for drinks and we talked about work. We also helped someone get connected with this girl on tinder. But on to the work. I left retail but it's still here.

In short, these past few weeks I think the firm is struggling to make money. People are leaving for good, more cuts possible in the coming weeks. We've taken on too many cases for the amount of manpower

There are serious efficiency problems and burnout is rampant.

I have to work at like 10x's speed to meet what is expected of me but it's tiring and discouraging. No matter how fast I process documents more come.

IT never ends.

All of this smells familiar. the only difference is that management is more proactive.

There is no overtime issued and so 2 hours of free but needed work
