And it's not even a matter of being able to combat since my character rn has magic. But he's only been in game for like almost two months. I wasn't giving him magic back that soon.

And he does have panic attacks esp when he can't do anything and ha;f of our run last night was a bossfight and immediately today "nocombatants may not want to join in"

like this... isn't an uncommon thing in kyr?

so much comes into having fighting ability. which farkle canonly has non of and this may be an au but i tool about 98% of his characterization directly from the show.

which means sure, he could tell you exactly where to hit things and why and it knock them over. but physically he isn't even capable of aiming a paper ball in the right place or throw it.

so even if he was there it wouldn't??? really matter? because sure he could tell someone but then he'd feel anxious and useless and pass out.

LIKE I LOVED AATHER Because noncombatants could still help a lot in boss fights.

buuut it's never felt that way in kyr.

Which was some of my issues with like Kyouya and Riley because, well, they might suggest something or try to bring up an ideas but normally people would just do things anyway :c

which is fine play your characters the way you see fit but it's not fun...? if you're not someone who has any kind of battle skills which means

difficulty for new people/or forever noncombatants

too which helps but. EVEN THOUGH FARKLE DIDNN'T GET HIT A LOT. he doesn't know how to like fight or think physically so it seemed pretty useless to me siiince i stood most of last night going "what to do?"

because he doesn't have hysical capability and since idr riley continuing on he woul d go with her :c but also the above would make him feel useless/have a panic attack because

like one of the things i liked about aather is that regular, cnoncombatants actually could participate in bossfights easily. Someone through a business card at it and had an effeet

i played a love live idol who sang the wrhole time because akbs taught them. and they couldn't fight but they did manage to create a shield

and i'd love to see that kind of empowerment to kyr's noncombatants but i doubt it's feasible

because, yeah, i could have put percy in instead but i wanted to play farkle :c and while eventually he won't be COMPLETELY useless it's just kind of the waves hands i can't do anything

There are several noncombatants in the fight though. If the fear is Farkle freezing up, isn't that something different entirely?

Like I get the noncombatant concern since I play one too, but it seems like there are things for noncombatants to do in this fight. Both on the support side and the reaction side.

Since a lot of the fight is people getting status'd and needing help. And the reaction comes from realizing what they're doing to the "enemy"

I'm looking at the list rn? Aoko, Sparrow, and Evenstar and MAAAAAYBE Kaito are the only ones who would qualify afair. And all have been around the block a few times? To have some fighting skill.

Maya is the only one who doesn't seem to have any of that.

And, yeah, he was entering a panic attack during last fight because he couldn't do anything and watched his.... not-girlfriend and teammate got hurt.

There didn't seem like much of a point to me to put him in something that there is an immediate thing of 'if noncombatants are too hurt/wrecked leave"

Their fighting is still limited to the same type of fighting that any normal person would have.

Maybe? But it's still not exactly fun to stand on the sidelines and/or him feeling like he's useless to help. which he would
