I want to check a translation/phrase

I am extremely rusty.

I know some and I have a dictionary accessible. What'd you need?

I have a friend who tutors in Latin

vincit qui patitur

It's from a book, so I want to double check that the translation is correct and the grammar isn't wrong

Also the pronunciation

Are we looking for Classical Latin or Church Latin pronunciation?

In Classical Latin, it would be pronounced something along the line of win-kit kwi pati-tur (and the last syllable would be a long u, more like an ou sound).

This is as far as I can remember, with my Wheelock's Latin as a guide.

I only took enough in college to help translate gravestones.

Just remember that v is always voiced w and c is voiced hard, like cat.
