[Computer/tech stuff] Alright, so... Now that I'm SICK TO DEATH of actually unplugging/re-plugging in my Talky Box computer, and then, of course, RUNNING OVER THE DAMNED POWER LINE with my CHAIR (b/c frankly,
I remove the power cord far too often to actually thread it behind the desk... xD <33) so.. Could anyone give me any recommendations for cheap laptops OR desktops, thta still work reasonably qucikly?

Not at my desktop. Best bet is to look for something cheap that has a Solid state drive

But a SSD greatly reduces startup time, and if you don't use much it'll make the biggest difference in speed you'll actually notice

That being said I could not tell you what specifically to look for other than to avoid cheap Lenovo
Dell stuff might be your best bet?

Lenovo's midline stuff is great as long as you're willing to kill the spyware. their cheap models, not so much'

Unfortunately, most cheap laptops are terrible in my experience.
The only brand I've had a good experience with in cheaptops is Dell
(Keep in mind that after my two successful Dell experiences I switched to the Macbook line, which isn't cheap by any sane measure)

That I can't tell you, but their reputation's decent on average. You will assuredly get a more powerful machine for your money on a Desktop.

That said if you are willing and able to do the research and effort, building your own PC will get you something more powerful for the same cost, every time.
At least, when it comes to Desktops
(Building your own laptops... Er, it exists? But it's for the absurdly hardcore)
