I remove the power cord far too often to actually thread it behind the desk... xD <33) so.. Could anyone give me any recommendations for cheap laptops OR desktops, thta still work reasonably qucikly? ;-) <333

Not at my desktop. Best bet is to look for something cheap that has a Solid state drive

But a SSD greatly reduces startup time, and if you don't use much it'll make the biggest difference in speed you'll actually notice

Lenovo's midline stuff is great as long as you're willing to kill the spyware. their cheap models, not so much'

Unfortunately, most cheap laptops are terrible in my experience.

The only brand I've had a good experience with in cheaptops is Dell

(Keep in mind that after my two successful Dell experiences I switched to the Macbook line, which isn't cheap by any sane measure)

That I can't tell you, but their reputation's decent on average. You will assuredly get a more powerful machine for your money on a Desktop.
